| The run-down parts of Jamaica |
In retrospect, my journey to Jamaica as well as the other trips to the other Latin American countries I have visited has been amazing. In my trip to Jamaica, I was able to see the interesting contrast between the both beautiful and the run-down parts of the city. I was able to learn how a European country like the United Kingdom is able to have such a great influence on Jamaica, an independent nation in the Caribbean Sea that is made up of mostly people that came from Africa. My trip to Jamaica as well as Guatemala and Chile have shown me how countries that are very close to where I live can have a totally different culture and lifestyle than mine. I greatly enjoyed this amazing journey, and I cannot wait to take part in it the next opportunity I get.
