In summary, my journey through Guatemala has been very interesting and insightful. I was able to learn about a culture that had many Spanish cultural elements to people’s life in urban areas and many Mayans aspects of culture in rural areas. The city and rural aspects were very interesting as they showed me how lifestyles compared and contrasted in each. Also, most places I have traveled to are very economically developed, but Guatemala was an amazing country to visit because it showed me how life is like in a country that is not as developed. I am thrilled that I got to explore all the wonders Guatemala had to offer, and I will miss this amazing country greatly as I travel to the last country I will visit, Jamaica.
